So who has driven where? Maybe when I retire I can do a driver's bucket list. America's Top 10 Road Trips
I've hit some of them; Big Sur, Carmel Going to the Sun - Glacier National Park, did some backpacking Million Dollar Highway - Telluride, Silverton RR, Horseback riding, camping along the continental divide. US Route 1 all the way up into New Brunswick, Nova Scotia , Bay of Fundy (wicked tide) and PEI, lot's of potato farming going on. I haven't been to the Dragon, but it's on my list.
I've done Big Sur, actually drove Route 1 from Bodega Bay south to the LA area. Also drove the Sonoma and Napa Valleys many times. Tip: If you find yourself there and looking for a diversion from the wineries, etc, try the twisty and scenic Trinity Rd/Dry Creek Rd/Oakville Grade route between the valleys (just north of Glen Ellen on the Sonoma side to Oakville on the Napa Valley side).
I'vedriven Route 1, CA, the million dollar highway and the Seward-Anchorage drive. I have to say though that nice twisty roads and spectacular views are a somewhat unsafe combination!
Hwy 1 from San Francisco to Morro Bay is very nice as is CA. Hwy 49 from Oakhurst to Placerville and beyond is very cool also Our club does a annual Oakhurst to Jamestown run on 49, the best run of the year always. In fact we will be doing this run in June :cornut: All are invited.
Done all but Hana and Seward, not sure I would put Sea Islands in the top 10 class but the other 7 are right up there.
